How to play block puzzle
Fit the available pieces onto empty squares. Fill complete rows or columns to make room for more pieces. There is no timer.
Play a short sessionPlace a piece
- Choose one of the three pieces in the tray. You can use them in any order.
- Tap an empty board square to place the piece’s top-left block there. The whole shape must fit inside the board without overlapping existing blocks.
- Pieces keep the direction shown in the tray. They do not rotate or flip.
- Once all three are used, the next three pieces appear.
A full line clears
Every completely filled row and column clears immediately after a placement. If a row and column fill at the same time, both clear. Their intersection is removed once. Blocks outside the cleared lines stay in place; they do not fall or slide. Boxes and colors have no matching rule.
How points work
Each small square you place earns 1 point. Each full line earns an additional 6 points on a 6 × 6 board or 10 points on a 10 × 10 board. A row and column cleared together count as two lines. There are no hidden multipliers.
| Placement | Points |
|---|---|
| Three-square piece, no line cleared | 3 |
| Three-square piece clearing one small-board line | 3 + 6 = 9 |
| One square completing a small-board row and column | 1 + 6 + 6 = 13 |
Keyboard and large controls
On the board, arrow keys move the preview and Enter or Space places the piece. Number keys 1–3 choose a tray piece. Home and End reach the edges of the row. Tab moves between the board, pieces and other controls.
For precise placement on a phone, choose a piece, use the four large direction buttons, then choose Place piece. The position text gives its row and column. A plus preview means it fits; a cross preview or “does not fit here” means it cannot be placed at that position.
Hint, Undo, and session endings
Hint previews one legal position for a current piece. It does not place it or change the score. It does not claim to find the best move or guarantee that later pieces will fit.
A session finishes when all its pieces have been placed. It ends early if none of the remaining tray pieces has a legal position. Undo restores the previous board, used piece, points and cleared lines—even after an ending. Restart clears just the current session after confirmation.
Small and standard sessions
The small 6 × 6 board has 12 pieces per session. The standard 10 × 10 board has 24. Each size has 24 original fixed piece sequences, and every sequence has at least one complete playable route. Your choices can still lead to an early ending.
Daily repeats every 24 days at 00:00 UTC. Practice cycles through the same collection. Both modes and both board sizes keep independent progress in this browser. Reopening after midnight keeps your previous daily until you choose Play today.
If saving fails, follow the numbered message above the game. Unreadable saved data stays protected until you explicitly choose to reset that saved record.
The basic placement-and-line-clearing mechanism is described by Zynga’s 1010! rules. Tilebrim has its own finite sequences, scoring and controls; it is not affiliated with 1010! or its publisher.
